The
real Northrop F-5E Tiger II are part of a family of widely used light
supersonic fighter aircraft, designed and built by Northrop in the United
States, beginning in 1960s. Hundreds remain in service in air forces
around the world. The F-5E "Tiger II" was a greatly improved
version of the earlier F-5A "Freedom Fighter". Redesigned
as a highly maneuverable, lightweight and inexpensive air superiority
fighter, the E featured an air-to-air fire control radar system and
a lead computing gun sight. More powerful J85 engines required the fuselage
to be both widened and lengthened. The forward wing root was redesigned
to give the "Tiger II" wing its characteristic triple delta
shape.
This excellent model is based on the US Navy desert camo finish.
The real F-5E Tiger II
This
F-5E is one of the highest spec and quickest jets on the market. It
is a massive 1.3m in length and is fitted with a 70mm EDF. Extra power
and speed is produced by the big 14.8V, 2200mah LiPo battery and 40A
brushless setup. As well as extra power and speed this jet also features
an automatic landing gear system and turning front wheel. To allow this
the set includes a 5ch transmitter and nine servos. It's a highly maneuverable
model that can easily perform inverted flight, loops and rolls etc.The
model comes pre-painted with everything you need included apart from
the normal AA batteries for the transmitter. The model is almost ready
to fly out of the box with only very minor assembly required such as
attaching the wings. Everything you need to complete is included in
the box.

Included
is a 5ch 1000m range transmitter, electronic speed controller, ducted
fan with electric brushless motor and 9 electric servos all pre-installed.
The 5ch transmitter gives full 3D control of the aileron, elevator,
rudder, throttle and retracts. The 70mm ducted fan system with the
brushless motors and li-po battery gives enormous power pushing
the jet to crazy speeds. The high power allows full aerobatic characteristics
and inside loops, outside loops, axial rolls, inverted flight, knife
edge, stall turns, hammerheads, and spins are all possible. |
The attention to detail from Starmax who are the leading rc jet
manufacturers gives the jet a nice realistic appearance. The jet
can take off from the ground or can be hand launched. If you are
not ready to be flying at high speeds then you can also fly the
plane very slowly while you get used to it without any problems.
The jet is made from shock resistant EPS foam with reinforced
fuselage and strong wings. Should you need any spare parts though
they are all available from our site. This plane is a lot of fun
